Streaking D-backs rally to sweep Padres

It took more than three months and 85 games, but the D-backs finally swept a series.
A five-run eighth inning helped the D-backs beat the Padres, 6-2, on Wednesday afternoon in front of 20,791 at Chase Field. Arizona is now the hottest team in baseball, having won five straight. “Shhh, don’t tell anybody,” D-backs manager A.J. Hinch said. Not only did the victory give them a sweep and continue their winning streak, it also got the D-backs out of last place in the National League West for the first time since June 7.
